Ottawa School of Art (Orleans Campus)
Designed for the student who wishes to expand their painting capabilities. We will be covering composition, value colour and edges. Brushwork and knife techniques will be demonstrated and discussed. How to paint from photography in a creative manner. This course is designed to get you moving beyond the “comfort zone” in your painting. We will also work from still life set ups in the classroom. As weather permits, we will occasionally take these applications learned in the classroom to the outdoors. Demonstrations on how to select and start a plein air painting will be given on location. The student will also receive one on one instruction, throughout the course. Critiques will be given.
